Private Health Fund Rebates
Hypnotherapy is not currently covered under Medicare or Mental Health Care Plans.
However, many private health funds provide rebates for hypnotherapy. This depends on your level of cover, the length of your membership, and the fund’s individual policies. It’s best to check directly with your provider to confirm whether you’re eligible.
We are a registered member of the Australian Hypnotherapists Association (AHA), which is recognised by many major health funds.
We are unable to provide hypnotherapy sessions for:
Anyone who is currently diagnosed with, or identify as having, any of the following conditions:
Suicidal ideation or behaviour, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder (BPD), psychotic episodes, uncontrolled epilepsy, anyone currently taking antipsychotic medication.
If any of the above apply, please contact your GP or psychiatrist for appropriate care, or call Lifeline on 13 11 14 for immediate support.
Many of our clients take antidepressant or anti-anxiety medication, which is perfectly fine. If you’re unsure whether we are the right fit for your situation, please feel free to email or call to discuss.
If you have a history of seizures, we’ll assess in the first session how this may affect your experience in hypnosis.
